Horizon Zero Dawn - E3 2016 Trailer I Only On PS4

Rumors of a delay for the PS4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn have been kicking around, and it’s not a surprise Sony wanted to get it out of the way before E3. Killzone developer Guerrilla Games' next game, Horizon: Zero Dawn, won't make it out this year as previously expected. Sony announced today on the PlayStation Blog that the game is now slated to arrive on February 28, 2017. That represents a delay of a few months — when Guerrilla unveiled Horizon Zero Dawn at E3 2015, the studio said it planned to release the PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2016.

"It wasn't an easy choice to make; we know many of you have been anxious to play the game since we first announced it,"Guerrilla managing director Hermen Hulst said. "However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn."

Hulst went on to say he knows the delay "may not please everyone," but stressed that it's in the best interest of the game.

"We're confident that the advantages of the additional development time afforded by the new date will become clear in the coming months. We really, really appreciate your patience and continued support, and look forward to bringing you the best game we possibly can in February 2017."

To ease the pain a little, there’s a new trailer released that is focused on the game’s hero, Aloy. You can watch the trailer below. The game was expected to release this year, although no specific dates were announced.

Announced at E3 2015, the ambitious-sounding Horizon Zero Dawn has a full day/night cycle and players will get to explore forests, mountains, and"atmospheric ruins of a bygone civilization." There are also robot dinosaurs; the one in the poster is apparently called "Thunderjaw." Sony has also said Aloy was inspired by female leads in franchises such as Terminator and Game of Thrones.

I'm fine with the delay of Horizon: Zero Dawn. It only means that the game needs more time to cook, simple as that. On the bright side, this timing change should give PS4 owners something fun to look forward to for early next year. What do you think guys?

‘Overwatch’ Game Director Talks About 2017 Plans; Jeff Kaplan Hints new Maps and Customization

Jeff Kaplan of Overwatch talked about the team’s plan for 2017. It included new maps, customization details and more.

2016 GAME ADJUSTMENT NOTES

The Official YouTube Channel of Overwatch uploaded Kaplan’s video on Wednesday, Dec. 21 2016. First of all, the game director discussed a short recap.

Kaplan said that the developer team had tons of fun making adjustments to the game and such. And notably, the game was well received by fans.

In line with that, the group took notes of fans’ feedback and see to it that they changed or tweaked things for the betterment of the game.

The director, then, revealed that they are planning an early 2017 release of Oasis.  Not to mention, new maps are also on their plan.

Likewise, Kaplan hinted that the group is working on new seasonal events.  Kaplan mentioned that fans may have an idea about the said events.

SEASONAL EVENTS AND CUSTOMIZATION PLANS

But the Overwatch director teased that they are also creating events that enthusiasts may not have guessed transpiring.

Furthermore, Kaplan disclosed that they are working on the customization for communication wheel.

And the bottom line is, it will allow players to access additional voice lines and to access up to four emotes.

By the same token, players will be able to have up to four sprays. Fans can now use multiple sprays in different occasions.

According to Game Spot, a server browser for Custom Games will also be featured. Needless to say, this addition is the most requested feature.

Given that, Kaplan indicated that he is excited about launching an initial version of it this coming 2017.

On the other side of the coin, the heroes Sombra and Anna were mentioned.

The game director explained that Sombra is not getting an update just yet because the team is specifically waiting for the character’s mastery curve.

'Red Dead Redemption 2' news, updates: Game to be released alongside PS4 Neo; New title to be announced in 2016

With an indefinite detail about its release date, "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been reported to launch alongside PS4 Neo. Although Rockstar did not confirm if they are currently working on the said game, its sequel's title will be announced before the year ends.

Rockstar Games has been mum on any details about the next "Red Dead Redemption." This has kept fans speculating numerous suggestions regarding its release date. As of the moment, many believes the game will be released once the next PS4 console launches.

It is being rumored that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be compatible with the upcoming console from Sony. Even though none is certain if it will still be getting a sequel, some evidences present can prove the possibility is likely.

It can be recalled that in the past that games like GTA 4 and 5 from Rockstar were not revealed during E3 but were still launched after. Considering that "Red Dead Redemption" has a large fan base next to GTA, its publisher would likely consider continuing the series, NSEAVoice reported.

In addition, affirmation and other positive statements from Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also hint the company would not simply let go of the franchise. Zelnick has stated before that "Red Dead" is a "permanent" thing in Rockstar, which only points out to nothing but making its sequel happen, Game Rant reported.

Despite the positive remark, the executive added that their company is still "selective" on what games to publish first in order to avoid flooding the market with numerous games. He added they would rather encourage fans with a well-distributed roster of very good games.

The only confirmation recently made by Rockstar is that they are currently developing a new game and its title will be announced before the year ends. However, the game being pertained in the statement was not identified.

As of this writing, no concrete information about the said game has been identified. Readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt until more details are given.

The holiday shopping season is upon us, so you've got to get games either for yourself or a loved one. We've reviewed more than 100 titles that make the perfect stocking stuffers for the PC gaming crowd.

Let's get one important fact out of the way before we dive into the deep end of the pool: This is not a historical examination of the most groundbreaking PC games. Not. Even. Close. Sure, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain redefines stealth-based action and Forza Horizon 3 is the definitive open-world racer, but they didn't make it into this guide based purely on those metrics. Simply put, this an ever-expanding collection of all-around excellent titles you should buy if you own a gaming desktop or laptop.

To clarify, games don't need to have been released in 2016 to qualify for this roundup. Any game that's still available and still considered excellent when ranked against the best of today is eligible. We think that's the most useful approach to helping you decide which video games deserve space on your PC's hard drive, and which aren't worth consideration even when their prices are cut by 85 percent during a Steam sale.

Compiling this guide was no small undertaking. PCMag's in-house and freelance editors have played a ridiculous number of PC games over the years, so creating an inclusion criterion was essential. Here's what we came up with. To be included,

• a game must have been reviewed by PCMag,
• it must still be available,
• and it must have received a rating of 3.5 stars or greater.

The first requirement is to ensure that we can give you more insight into a game. Yes, this guide goes into some depth on each game entry, but the ability to linking to a full review benefits those looking for a deeper cut. The second point we've already covered. The third point required a bit of pondering. We didn't want to set the star rating so low that damn near every PC game qualifies for the guide, yet we didn't want to set the star rating so high that we exclude quality B-tier games, such as Killer Is Dead and Transformers: Devastation. For now, three stars is the happy medium, but, as we review more games, we may have to be choosier, to keep the list at a manageable size.

There are currently exactly 100 games in this PC gaming guide, so making navigation as simple as possible was an extremely high priority for our creative commandos. The games are grouped alphabetically by genre, and the titles in each category are listed in alphabetical order. Simply select a genre, say Fighting Games, and the page jumps to that section. Easy!

Please note that we are currently working to fill in a few thinly populated genres. Commenters have noted the dearth of horror and MMORPGs in previous incarnations of this guide, so our editorial team is focused on reviewing more titles that might warrant inclusion in those categories. The new anime studio Emon announced more details of The Silver Guardian (Gin no Guardian) anime, including the story, staff, and 2017 broadcast plans on Wednesday. Emon describes the story of the original Chinese web comic:

Sui Gin may be poor, but he is one of the best online video game players. This identity however, is unknown to all except for RikuLei, Sui Gin's classmate. She delivers a mysterious mobile device to Sui Gin but before being able to explain herself, RikuLei is kidnapped and Sui Gin unwittingly finds himself wrapped up in series of problematic circumstances. Searching for a way to save her, he accidentally activates the device allowing him to dive into a new Virtual game-world.

Ken Ando (Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances, Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o) is directing at Emon withMasahiko Ohkura (Yukikaze, Blue Drop) as chief director. Yuichi Tanaka (A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!) is designing the characters, and Yuuji Hosono(Gokujyo. Gokurakuin Joshi Kōryō Monogatari, Prism Ark) is supervising the series scripts and co-writing them with Hidefumi Kimura (Uta∽Kata, Kiddy Grade). Gonzo studio founder Shouji Murahama (Gunbuster, Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water, Blue Submarine No. 6) is producing.

According to Emon, the comic has garnered 418 million views since March 1. The studio will present a trailer andcosplayers of the characters Twinstar and Shostia at its AnimeJapan 2016 booth from March 25 to March 27. Emon will also distribute a special-edition comic of The Silver Guardian, drawn by Kōichirō Takahashi, in a special edition exclusive to the event.

Emon was established in October 2015 as the Japanese branch of Haoliners, an animation brand based in Shanghai and a subsidiary of Shanghai Haoliners Cultures Media Co., Ltd.

2016 was the year that consumer-grade VR went from something most of us just read about to something that started appearing in stores and homes.
